More interview calls come from two things: being in more hiring pipelines, and matching each job you apply for more closely. This toolkit covers both, then helps you through the interviews that follow.
Every platform here was checked on 29 October 2026. Prices are as each site listed them, mostly in US dollars. Many sites show different prices, often in rupees, to visitors in India, so check before you pay. Almost all of them have a free tier that is enough to start.
Recruitment agencies
Register with an agency once, and its recruiters can put you forward for roles that never appear on job boards. Upload an up-to-date CV and keep your profile current.
TeamLease: large entry-level and fresher hiring, with a fresher filter on its job search. Registration is free.
Randstad India: staffing across engineering, manufacturing, IT and professional roles. Create a free account to apply.
Adecco India: general and tech staffing, permanent roles, and apprenticeship and training programmes.
Michael Page India: professional and specialist roles. It suits people with a few years of experience more than freshers.
National Career Service: the Ministry of Labour and Employment’s free job portal. It is not an agency, but it lists jobs and job fairs across India.
Never pay to get a job. TeamLease, Randstad, Adecco and Michael Page all state that they don’t charge candidates any fees, and the National Career Service tells job seekers not to pay fees to employers. If anyone asks you for a registration, processing or training fee to get you a job, treat it as a scam.
Resume tailoring
Most companies filter applications with software that looks for keywords from the job description. These tools compare your resume with a specific job and show you what’s missing.
Jobscan: gives a match rate between your resume and a job description, lists missing keywords and can rewrite lines with AI. The first match report is free; paid plans add more scans.
Teal: a resume builder and job tracker that highlights the key words in a job description. Free for unlimited resumes and basic matching; Teal+ costs $9 a week.
Resume Worded: scores your resume out of 100 and shows how relevant it is to a target job. The basic score is free; Pro starts at $49 a month or $229 a year.
Rezi: picks keywords from the job description, scores your resume and helps you write bullets with AI. Free for one resume; Pro is $29 a month or $149 one-time.
Keep one master resume and make a tailored copy for each job. Add keywords only for skills you actually have, because the interview will test them.
Behavioural interviews
Behavioural questions start with “Tell me about a time when...”. Answer them with the STAR method: the Situation, your Task, the Action you took and the Result. Prepare five or six stories from college, internships or work that you can adapt to most questions.
Yoodli: an AI interviewer that asks follow-up questions and gives feedback on structure, clarity, pace and filler words. Five free practice sessions; Pro is $8 a month, billed yearly.
Big Interview: video lessons, an interview simulator and AI feedback on recorded answers. No free plan; it starts at $39 for 30 days.
Aced: formerly Exponent. Behavioural courses, AI feedback on your answers and free live mock interviews with other job seekers (the Pramp peer mocks now run here). Paid plans add more.
Gemini Live: Google now suggests using Gemini Live, in the Gemini app, to practise STAR answers out loud in a real-time mock interview. Some Gemini features need a subscription.
Google’s old Interview Warmup tool has closed, so links to it no longer work.
Technical interviews
For coding rounds, follow one structured problem list instead of solving random questions, and practise explaining your approach out loud.
LeetCode: the standard place for data structures and algorithms practice, plus weekly contests. Free to use; Premium adds questions tagged by company and interview simulations.
NeetCode: a structured roadmap of problems, such as the NeetCode 150, with a video explanation for each. The roadmap is free; Pro is $119 a year.
GeeksforGeeks: over 2,500 free practice problems you can filter by topic, difficulty and company, plus a Problem of the Day. Paid courses are optional.
HackerRank: a free Interview Preparation Kit covering core topics, and AI mock interviews for coding, system design and behavioural rounds. Two AI mocks are free.
interviewing.io: anonymous mock interviews with engineers from large tech companies. Its AI interviewer and 200+ practice problems are free; mocks with a human start at $179.
Portfolio
A portfolio shows what you have built, which a resume can only describe. Three good projects, each with a short write-up, are enough. Put the link at the top of your resume and on LinkedIn.
GitHub Pages: free hosting for developers, at yourname.github.io. Best if your projects are already on GitHub.
Notion Sites: publish a Notion page as a website on a free notion.site address. Good for anyone who wants a portfolio without code; a custom domain is $8 a month, billed yearly.
Carrd: simple one-page websites. Free for up to three sites; Pro, which adds your own domain, starts at $19 a year.
Framer: design-led websites with no code. Free on a Framer address with a small Framer banner; paid plans start at $10 a month.
Behance: Adobe’s portfolio network for designers and creatives, with its own job board. Free to publish; Pro is $9.99 a month.
Where to start
This week, register with two agencies, run your resume against three job descriptions you want, and practise two STAR stories out loud. Add one tool at a time after that.
Comment “HR” on the video and I’ll send you all the links. Make sure you follow the page first, or the message won’t reach you. For more job hunt tools, subscribe to this newsletter and the channel.
