You can now generate short video ads without leaving ChatGPT. This guide shows the real setup (it is a third-party plugin, not a built-in ChatGPT feature) and gives you six copy-paste prompts, one for each ad style, so you can test which one works for your product.
What you need
A ChatGPT account with access to the Plugins Directory. Higgsfield's guide says OpenAI lists plugins on Free, Go, Plus and Pro, but availability can still vary by plan, region and workspace settings.
A paid Higgsfield account (higgsfield.ai). Every video made through ChatGPT uses your Higgsfield credits. The "unlimited" generations on Higgsfield's own website do not apply inside ChatGPT.
One clear product photo on a plain background, plus a one-line description of what the product does and who it is for.
Step by step
Connect Higgsfield. In ChatGPT, open the Plugins Directory, search "Higgsfield", click Add and sign in with your Higgsfield account. You can also start from higgsfield.ai/mcp and click the "Add Higgsfield in ChatGPT" button. If it disconnects later, go to Settings, then Plugins, then Higgsfield.
Start a new chat and select Higgsfield, or just mention "Higgsfield" in your request.
Pick the model. Alibaba released Wan 3.0 on 24 August 2026. It makes clips up to 30 seconds with sound in one pass, and Higgsfield says it can build up to six linked shots with consistent characters. Ask for it by name. If the plugin does not offer it in your account, ChatGPT will suggest another model from the Higgsfield catalogue, such as Seedance 2.5 or Kling 3.
Always ask for the cost first. Paste this once at the start of the chat:
Before you generate anything with Higgsfield, tell me which model you will use, the length, the resolution and the credit cost. Wait for me to say "go" before generating.Set up your product brief. Fill in the brackets and paste this:
Product brief for all ads in this chat:
- Product: [name], [what it is]
- Main benefit: [one sentence]
- Audience: [who buys it, e.g. college students in India]
- Look: use the attached product photo. Keep the product's shape, colour, logo and label exactly the same in every video.
- Format: vertical 9:16, 15 seconds, with sound, ending on a 2-second product shot with the text "[your brand / offer]".
Use Wan 3.0 if it is available in the plugin.Generate the six styles one at a time. Copy whichever you want:
Claymation
Make a stop-motion claymation ad for the product. A clay version of the product sits on a tiny clay set that matches the audience's daily life. Little clay hands show the problem, then the product solves it in a playful way. Visible fingerprints and slightly jerky stop-motion movement. Warm, cheerful music. Final shot: the real product photo with the brand text.Skeleton story
Make a funny skeleton-story ad. A cartoon skeleton sits waiting with a cobweb on it and a caption "Waiting for [the problem] to fix itself". Cut to the skeleton using the product and suddenly coming back to life with colour and energy. Light, comic tone, nothing scary or gory. Short on-screen captions. End on the product shot.Podcast style
Make a 15-second podcast-style ad. Two animated hosts at a studio desk with microphones and a small "Sponsored" tag in the corner. Host 1 asks a common question about [the problem]. Host 2 explains in two lines how the product helps, holding the product. Natural conversation, clear audio. End on the product shot.Cartoon character
Turn the product into a friendly cartoon mascot with big eyes and simple arms, in a bright 2D animation style. The mascot jumps into a scene from the audience's day, fixes the problem, and winks at the camera. Upbeat music. Keep the product's real colours and logo visible on the mascot. End on the real product shot.Hyper motion
Make a hyper-motion product ad. Fast, smooth camera moves around the product: a quick orbit, a macro push-in on the texture or logo, a whip-pan to the product in use, then a slow-motion hero shot. Bold lighting, punchy beat-synced sound design. No people. End on the product with the brand text.Crochet (remix any winner)
Take the last ad and remake the same story in a handmade crochet style. Everything, including the product, looks knitted from soft yarn, with gentle stop-motion movement. Keep the same timing, script and ending.Test and iterate. Post two or three versions as separate ads and compare results. When one wins, ask ChatGPT to make three more variations of only that style with different opening hooks.
Good to know
Cost adds up. Higgsfield's own example puts a 15-second 1080p Seedance 2.5 video at 270 credits and a 30-second one at 540. Ask for the cost before every generation, and start at a lower resolution while testing.
Wan 3.0 availability. Higgsfield has a Wan 3.0 page and API, but its ChatGPT guide does not confirm Wan 3.0 is in the plugin for every account. Check what the plugin offers you.
Label AI ads. Instagram and YouTube ask you to disclose realistic AI-generated content. Turn on the platform's AI label when you post.
Be honest in ads. Do not present an AI "podcast" as a real show or AI hosts as real customers. Fake testimonials can break advertising rules in India. The podcast prompt above includes a "Sponsored" tag for this reason.
Do not copy brands or people. Never use a celebrity's face or voice, or another company's characters, in your ad.
Quality varies. Product labels and small text can come out warped. Check every frame before you run an ad.
