AI-made Instagram pages that earn affiliate commission are real, but the big earnings numbers you see in reels are rarely shown with proof. This guide gives you a setup you can start for free, prompts for your first posts, and the disclosure rules that keep your account safe in India.
What you need
An Instagram professional account (Creator or Business) for a new page in one niche.
An affiliate programme. For example, Amazon Associates India at affiliate-program.amazon.in. You can apply with an Instagram account instead of a website, and commission rates vary by product category. WsCube Tech guide
An AI chatbot for scripts and captions (any free tier works).
An AI image or video tool with a free tier. Check its terms allow commercial use.
A link-in-bio page or auto-DM tool, since Instagram captions do not carry clickable links.
Step by step
Pick one narrow niche. For example "kitchen gadgets under Rs 1,000" or "budget desk setup". A narrow niche makes products and audience easier to match.
Join the affiliate programme and read its rules. Read the operating agreement and how it wants you to identify yourself as an affiliate on social media. Amazon India's help centre has a page on exactly this.
Build a content plan with this prompt:
I run an Instagram page about [niche] for Indian buyers aged [age range].
Give me 20 reel ideas that each feature one product a viewer could buy
online for under Rs [budget]. For each idea give: a 1-line hook, the
problem the product solves, 3 honest points (including one downside),
and a call to action that says "link in bio". No fake claims, no
"best ever", no invented discounts.Write each reel script:
Write a 20-second reel script in simple Hinglish for this product:
[product name and link to its listing].
Use only facts from the listing I paste below. Structure:
hook (2 sec), problem (4 sec), how it works (8 sec), one honest
limitation (3 sec), CTA "link in bio" (3 sec).
Add on-screen text for each part.
Listing: [paste product title, features, price]Make the visuals. Use AI for backgrounds, scenes, product-in-use mockups or a consistent virtual presenter. Keep the real product accurate: do not change its look, size or features.
Write the caption with the disclosure first:
Write an Instagram caption for this reel. The first line must be:
"Ad | Affiliate link: I may earn a commission if you buy."
Then 2 short lines about the product, then "AI-generated visuals",
then 5 relevant hashtags. Max 60 words.Turn on Instagram's AI label when you upload any realistic AI image, video or voice.
Track and adjust. After 2-3 weeks, check which reels led to clicks in your affiliate dashboard. Make more of what works and drop the rest.
Good to know
Earnings are not guaranteed. The reel's "money from one reel" figure could not be verified. Most new pages earn little at first. Amazon India pays different rates per category, and some categories pay very little.
India requires an AI declaration. Since 20 February 2026, India's amended IT Rules require users on large social platforms to declare if content is synthetically generated, and platforms must label it. A false declaration can lead to removal or suspension. Nishith Desai Associates
Meta also requires the label. Meta said it requires people to use its AI disclosure tool for photorealistic video or realistic audio, and may apply penalties if they don't. Axios
Disclose affiliate links. ASCI's influencer guidelines list "Affiliate" as a valid label. It must be hard to miss, not buried in hashtags or only in your bio. ASCI also says a virtual influencer must tell people they are not a real human. ASCI guidelines (PDF)
No fake reviews or fake people "using" products. Do not present an AI character as a real customer who bought the item.
